do we do now, I suggest that you explore
Traffic Exchange especially
if Traffic Exchanges are already part of your marketing stategy. This one is
different and worth taking advantage of. You can spend time with it like any
traffic exchange or you can purchase credits and access it that way, your choice.
Newsletter advertising are very effective with Adlandpro especially as they
are archived so effectively. Look carefully at this one.
Gold Member that frankly contains all the services you are likely to need in one monthly package.
Take a look and see if you don't think this is the best value for your home business.
Finally what I would suggest is work on your profile in the networking site.
When you request someone to be your friend don't overwhelm them with hype, just
tell them (if true) that some of their interests seem to match yours and you
should be friends. I find the gradual way of networking is a much better, more
effective way of attracting people to you and your home business.

I promised you more on the networking part of Adlandpro. You may
ask why should I bother to do this? Two things; you either are
connected to other communities or you aren't. If you are in other
communities you already know how useful these connections can be to
your home business. I don't start off by flogging my business but
when people flog me I flog back, gently.
Most of the time I will simply get to know someone and gradually
my contacts ask me. These are people who already know me, know
something about me, are already using some of my free services
and want to know more. This is what community and networking
is really about isn't it? I use the community function here
at Adlandpro to graually get more good contacts for my home
based business, therefore improving my business and getting
Joe Wissler, my name out there in the market place. How does
this happen, by service, by helping others get what they need
and helping them improve their home based business.
So begin now, if you haven't yet joined I suggest you go to
Adlandpro and join for free. Then on your page click on Networking
tab and you will go to the Adlandpro Community. Click on the
Account button on the left. You will get a drop down menu of Setup,
Photo and several other things. Fill these out as best you can, it
is important to get your picture in as soon as you can. Time spent
on your profile is well spent as people see your profile and decide
if they you are of interest to them. My profile still needs work,

Continuing the last entry I want to focus on Adlandpro.
If you aren't a member go there now and join for free. At the top of the page
click on Register. You may want to generate your own user name, I started years
ago before I was thinking of that and am quite satisfied with my user number. I
suggest you join the affiliate program, I have been paid regularly for sometime
with this program. Not alot of money but it does keep coming every income stream
ads to my total home business income. You will have people come in and use
Adlandpro's paid services through you, and you might as well get paid for it.
Now you have joined and the affiliate program too at some point you will want to
get your Custom Page up. Look at my page again, you will notice "In association
with The Spirit of Service", that is me, my page, my banners at the bottom. There
are several different layouts and the page can be blended into your page in
different ways. Make sure you read the rules and follow them, don't remember
them now but remember I had to make sure I understood them at the time.
Questions, the contact us link, is helpful and they do answer the phone and are
helpful. So am I, ask me, I'll be happy to help you.
Begin to promote your home based business now by using the link to Free Ads.
This can be done quickly and easily. But I suggest you use the Learning Link
and after you log in you can access the free tutorials, some are on line and
some are by email. The time you spend here will be more than worth it. Start
by looking at the first few courses. Then I would suggest the Networking link.
Remember this is a support place for you. An advertising, networking site,
money making site for me. Keep focused on your main home business, this place
gives you leads gives you support, helps you grow. Spend time here but don't

What kind of things do you need for your home based business?
You need marketing help, support with office issues, how to do
everything, because all of a sudden YOU are doing everything.
At the beginning you thought if you sold enough, if your website
was good enough you could just sit back and let the money roll in.
OK, maybe it worked for you the first time, your site worked and
the money just rolled in. Now what do you do with it, how do you
manage your success, insure it isn't just pissed away. How many
of us have made and subsequently lost their money that they have
made from their home based businesses because they didn't have a
plan to use that money effectively.
Or, you could have the other situation that most of us experience
at least once, where your business just doesn't make money and you
are all the time fighting for your very business life.
Will mention some supports now and will clarify them in the coming
weeks.
Have already talked about mindset, probably the basic skill, for
without it you never even begin and you certainly never finish.
And without the focus of mindset you go off in many directions
that assures failure.
Marketing is the most obvious skill. We all fancy ourselves as marketers.
Who among us feels that we can't get our message out? However when we
get started like I am with the DHS Club we have ideas and training of some
sort that leads us to believe that we know how to promote our home business
Often we aren't correct we know but we don't know quite enough to put every
thing together to make it work. We always seem to be missing a piece of the
puzzle.

Decisive Action Now to Save Your Home Based Business
Continuing with the Mindset ideas from the other day. I have
gotten some feedback. Seems like not everyone has followed the
five ideas and they have gotten off track. To summarize what was
said:
1. We know we have to write down why we are starting our home
based business but just haven't done it yet.
2. Yes we avoid people, except our relatives, who run us down.
How do we avoid them? Any ideas I can't help you with that one
just have seen it in others and know it is a Big problem for
some.
3. Staying in contact with leaders in your home based business,
by phone, VOIP video conference, in person doesn't matter how
just keep in touch.
4. This focus thing is something that I had trouble with also.
How do you decide what to do and what tasks REALLY needs to get
done in your home based business? We have all caught ourselves
alphabetizing a list, getting ready to do something but never
doing it? Sound familiar to anyone of you business owners out
there?
What I did to fix this, and lets face it it will never be fixed
and you will need to fight the same battle with yourself every so
often. I focus on what I wasn't doing. Examine that and see why
it wasn't getting done. Sure enough some of these functions that
you really don't want to do are exactly what you MUST do for your
home business to work.
So Stop, Right now, and examine what isn't getting done and see
what hoops you are jumping through to rationalize why it isn't
getting done. Look at your self talk, what you have said to
yourself about why you couldn't do certain things is really the
fun part. Then take action simply do it yourself or if you can
get someone else to do those necessary but undone things. Just
make sure you follow through Immediately and When they are done,
during the process itself, even just by thinking about it your
mindset will improve and when that happens you know your home
business is moving in the right direction.
But Don't put it off, take decisive action and change the way
your home business works now and keep it that way. We will only
be really successful when we start doing and keep doing what
other people won't do. Most business owners will not make this
adjustment and will fail.

What Your Home Business Really Needs - Your Positive Mindset
How to keep your mindset and your home business on track
1. Know your WHY. Why are you starting a home business?
2. Avoid people who will run you down.
3. Stay in contact with leaders in your business, those who are
successful now.
4. Stay focused on key things you have identified that really make
your home based business work. Don't waste time on other activities.
5. Read or listen to the masters. Find someone who inspires you,
who you can follow.
You must know why you are doing your home business. Keep it in front
of you all the time, your list, a picture or two. Keep the goal firmly
in your mind.
A good example of this is a story I heard that I have always
remembered of a young sales person who had found a really nice
home which he REALLY wanted. This was in the early 70's he was
working on commission making a good living then but he needed
$10,000 (a large sum then) by the end of the month to close on
this house. Did he think how hard it would be get that money?
No he went and got some pictures of his family and himself in and
around that house. Then he set to work and by closing on that home
he had the money he needed.
Most of us don't have this kind of example in our own lives but
we can learn from his focus, he carried those photos around with
him looking at them often as he pushed himself to do the extra
work that was necessary to meet his goal.
Keep your WHY close to you visually, go over it in your mind after
your prayers in the morning right through the day. Try it you will
see a big improvement in your focus.
Avoid people who run down your dream. Sounds obvious, duh?
Sounds that way but we all know of times when we have been
deflected from our work by such people. Avoid these people who
do nothing but denigrate your dream of starting a home business.
Now that the negative bit is over lets concentrate on the positives.
Get in touch and stay in personal touch with the leaders in your
business. Watch them, listen to them, read what they write. I'm
thinking it is sort of like trying to absorb a little of them.
Putting their qualities together with the drive from your why:
(why you started your home business) and your other good qualities,
which we all have, can potentially make you even a better leader
and have even more success than the leaders in your business now.
Tall order isn't it? But really think about it. Absorb all you can
from your leaders their good qualities can become your qualities but
not if you don't try: watch, listen absorb.
Your new home business will have many activities. You need to focus
on those activities that will move your business forward and will
move you toward your goal (remember your why)? Don't spend time
organizing your files, putting your stamps in piles, I don't know
there must be many useless things to do. Get busy and identify
specific activities the sales and or service that will make your
home based business grow.
Finally listen to the masters. Those who have already been a
huge success in your industry or in other areas of life. Find
those who you want to emulate and read and study their lives.

Five Good Reasons You Should
Start a Home Based Business
So you want to start a home business? There are many reasons why
having your own home based business can be important to you. Here are a few
to consider.
Reasons to start a home business
1. You need money, your job doesn't pay enough
2. You need retirement income.
3. You need money for debts you have now prior to retirement or after retirement.
4. You need to get out of a job you hate.
5. You know there are tax advantages to owning your own business.
Many people I talk to need money now. You have a job, maybe two
jobs but they just don't pay enough. Or the other end of it you have
just been downsized or expect to be downsized? You need to do
something so that there is extra money coming in regularly and
gradually increasing so you will have enough to live on and do the
things you really want and need to do for your family.
Some of us have retirement plans or you have no retirement savings
at this point. It doesn't matter what country you live in you need
income in your retirement years. More than the government provides
in any country. We all want more than is provided and more than we
have been able to save. This is a big need for those of us in the baby
boom generation. We are looking for extra ways of making money that
provide a steady increasing income into the future. Only your own
business can do this.
We have debts we need to get rid of now. Think how much less income
we need to live comfortably if we didn't have the debt we are carrying
now? Examine your own situation. If you had five hundred dollars a
month extra to put toward your credit card balance, your mortgage,
your car payment how much easier would that make your life?
And those of us who have jobs we don't like, jobs we may have liked but
are tired of doing now 10, 15, 20 years later. We may be well trained in
them and would find it hard to leave. We would make so much less if we
moved to something else, anything else.
Oh, the tax advantages, the expenses of the office and any staff are
probably clear to most of us. If you are working from your home many
expenses of the home can, if carefully documented, be set off against your
business. A portion of the heating expenses in Labrador, a great issue here,
is only one of the expenses of our home that can be charged to the business.
Think about it a portion of all expenses of your home coming right off your
income tax bill.
